Given the close proximity to Port Philip Bay, the GHD architectural scope was clear, robust, resilient and 100% non-combustible.

SOLIDAL® CMC DOUBLE FOLD was selected for the Mentone Grammar School, due to the strict SOLIDAL® fabrication methodology and the non use of combustible elements in the finished product. Each custom folded SOLIDAL® module corner is smartwelded in mill finish prior to coating, sealed against water ingress and coated up to four layers thick with world leading P.p.g coatings. Evenly coated to the face, folds and corners of each modules, completely eliminating vulnerable weak points in the façade.
